Who has never felt a wave of emotion carry them away and the current take them in a direction they had not chosen? The intensity of the emotion can sometimes even be described as suffering. Hypnosis to manage emotions can then provide a solution.

We are emotional beings, that's what makes us human. However, we can sometimes suffer from feeling carried away by them or feel guilty for reacting strongly.
Learning to manage your emotions allows you to regain your power. You react less and you can once again be in a space where you choose your actions.
What are emotions?
Emotions are what makes us alive. It's what happens inside, and which responds to an external or sometimes internal stimulus depending on our thoughts and our internal language. We are in reaction. Those can sometimes bring the feeling of being carried away without really deciding, and of overflowing.
According to the definition of the Larousse dictionary, it is a transient emotional reaction of fairly high intensity, usually caused by stimulation from the environment.
Although we are rarely embarrassed to overflow with joy or another emotion deemed positive, we sometimes want to temper emotions that we consider more negative.
However, there are no inherently good or bad emotions, they simply give us information about what is happening inside us.
Often the contexts that are closest to our hearts make us overreact the most. The people closest to us, parents, children or spouses, who push the buttons that make us explode. And we push the reaction buttons of our loved ones too, without even wanting to.
Other times it is our values or our ego that are hurt. Or else our beliefs and thoughts can also trigger emotions. Indeed, the way we receive information, analyze it, and what we tell ourselves will modulate how we feel.
The good news is that you are not your emotions, you are not your thoughts! This is like the weather, and it should be considered for what it is, no more, no less.
Learning to manage emotions is important when they take us too far. Letting emotions and thoughts pass without holding on to them or amplifying them, brings us to live better but also prevents the body from storing all these tensions and from starting to develop health and stress problems.
Hypnosis for emotion management
The intensity and duration of an emotion depends on each person, their sensitivity and the situation. This is why emotion management must be tailored to each individual.
Here are nevertheless two main areas on which I support my clients on this subject:
Improve understanding of the mechanism of emotions and our individual functioning in the face of them. This approach allows us to reduce or even free ourselves from added suffering. We will then learn methods to understand what is happening inside us by going through the body's signals.
Developing strategies to decrease the intensity, and calm the emotions, then listen to the reason why these emotions have arisen and provide a solution or relief where it is needed.
All this can be learned, like everything else we have learned!
For all these avenues, hypnosis, self-hypnosis, meditation, or even exercises based on positive psychology, are valuable and allow you to navigate more serenely.
